Bvlgari Black - The Mysterious Dark Knight

First of all let me apologize to everyone out there especially my blog visitors and customers who waited for me to post a review on Bvlgari Black. I was extremely busy for the past few days preparing myself for upcoming mid term exams and rushing my assignments at the same time.

Today I'm here to share my experience on Bvlgari Black with you guys out there. Bvlgari Black is another fragrance which is made by a famous perfumer called Annick Menardo. If you guys read my review on Hugo Boss Bottled #6, you might have heard of this name Annick Menardo because he is the perfumer who created Hugo Boss Bottled as well. I must admit that both Bvlgari Black and Hugo Boss Bottled are both really good and unique scent.

*Bvlgari Black comes with 40ml/75ml*

Yup that's the actual look of Bvlgari Black, amazing isn't it? It comes with a glass bottle with black rubber surrounding the bottle with the wording BVLGARI engraved on the rubber. Same goes to the cap there's also engraved wording of BVLGARI on it and a tiny word BLACK engraved on the rubber surface found on the cap. The cap of Bvlgari Black is actually attached to it and you need to actually turn it inorder to make a spray of it. Don't worry if you don't understand what I'm trying to tell, you will know once you have it with you. I actually bought myself a tester unit for Bvlgari Black and I seriously regretted doing so, because tester units does not include the cap and that's actually what makes the perfume bottle a charm.

Bvlgari Black is actually a unisex fragrance but majority men users. The thing I love about Bvlgari frangrances is because of their signature scent which is the Tea Note, for certain period the smell of tea can make us really calm and peaceful. Let's talk about the notes category for Bvlgari Black right now, the top notes consist of Lapsang Souchang Tea, Bergamot and Jasmine. The Middle Notes consist of Cedar, Sandalwood and Leather, while the Base Notes consist of Amber, Musk and Vanilla.

Bvlgari Black is a very unique smelling fragrance, I will explain the reason why I said that it's a unique fragrance, so please read on and not pressing the X button alright. The first Impression from Black is the smell of burning rubber, it is not like those cheap rubber smell which you smell from your eraser or anything that is made from rubber. It comes out with a burst of very fresh burning rubber smell for the top notes, that's all you'll be getting for the top notes. Most people will find it to be quite unpleasant for others, but trust me it smells really good and unique as it dries down to the middle notes.

After the Fresh/Burning Rubber smell, you'll be getting a mixture of vanilla together with the burning rubber. So just imagine that you're smelling a vanilla flavoured ice cream while opening a room which is lock for years and the rubber smell is extremely strong when you open the door. That's what exactly you'll be getting from the middle notes, as it dries down to the base notes the smell turns slightly softer with some sweet vanilla powedery with some mixture of leathery smell to it. It smells really nice and extremely unique, and I promise you that you will never smell anything close to Bvlgari Black in the market.

I recommend people to get this black unique perfume no matter what happens. You must try this out and have it in your collection, because it will be a great fragrance for a special occasion at night. To me I don't really use it often, because it makes me dizzy for using it everyday. That is because when I first got Bvlgari Black, I only have two fragrance in my collection at that time one of it is Giorgio Armani's Acqua Di Gior and the second fragrance in my collection is Bvlgari Black. So at that time I only have these two fragrances with me, so what I do is I used Bvlgari Black for 7 days per week, during the day and night. After doing so, I found it to be really annoying and my head gets dizzy one night when I'm having dinner with my friend and I wish I could wash it off my body immedietly. So whenever the past experience of Bvlgari Black pop out in my head, I'll remind myself to stay away from using it daily.

I advise people to use this fragrance only for a certain days in a month, like maybe only twice a week for a night out. This fragrance is more suitable for a night fragrance, because of it's smoky/leathery/woody smell it comes with. So it's not really recommended to use it during the day, but it's not a big deal if you're planning to use it during the day instead of night. Projectivity wise, this fragrance can project really good for the top notes, but when it dries down to middle or base notes it's more towards close to the skin type of fragrance, and people standing far away from you would most probably smell nothing. The lasting power of this fragrance is quite good, it last the whole day for me if I spray it in the morning, it will easily stay up to night with me.

To spray this fragrance on, I normally take one shot on each wrist without rubbing them together, and one shot right in the middle of my neck. Please do not spray on both sides of your neck, because it will get really annoying for your nose TRUST ME!!

Hugo Boss Bottled

Yes, I'm back again for a review which is going to be on Hugo Boss Bottled also known as Hugo Boss no.6. Boss Bottled was made in 1998 by a famous perfumer called Annick Menardo who is also the perfumer for Bvlgari Black which is one of my all time favourite fragrance for a night out. Back to Hugo Boss, I was so excited few days back before having this fragrance to be apart of my fragrance collection, I've actually smell this scent before on my friend who owns Hugo Bottled before me.

Honestly I was attracted to this scent from the very beginning when I sniff it. Hugo Boss don't really make good fragrances, but trust me Hugo Boss Bottled is a complete turn over from the others. It is by far the best fragrance to date I would say that you'll be smelling from Hugo Boss, nothing else in Hugo Boss range can beat this fragrance for it's uniqueness, projectivity and lasting power.

Hugo Boss Bottled is a well blended fragrance in my opinion, the top notes for this fragrance consist of Apple, Bergamot and Cinnamon. As for the middle notes it's Tagete, Geranium, Clove and the Base Notes is made with Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Olivewood.

Let me first tell you that the first impression you'll be getting is a very heavy sweet scent which is similar to apple with some spice, and it's actually what I really love in this fragrance. The first impression comes with a strong spicy apple scent which is almost unforgettable, sweet and spicy and some ways which is really nice. It is something similar to Chanel Allure Sports Homme in my opinion, which have that sweet, woody, spicy smell in it. The dry down for Boss Bottled is truly classic although it smells much like the top notes, just that it is more woody, vanilla and powdery.

I recommend people to get this fragrance if you are really new to fragrance and you're planning to get your first bottle of fragrance without regrets. Simply because this is really easy to wear fragrance because of it's fresh apple notes and dries down to a woody powdery note. But if you're looking for a scent to make it your signature scent which not widely used by people yet, you might want to avoid this because I've gone through so many people in my college and I can smell that 15 out of 100 is using Hugo Boss Bottled which means it's really a famous fragrance and too common in public.

Boss Bottled can be used anytime and anywhere, if you're planning to use it for sports, casual, universities or night out it will make your day without worries. Projectivity wise I would give it a 8/10 for the top notes and 6/10 when it dries down. My mom can even smell it standing 4-5 feet away from me, and lasting power is a beast which sticks to your skin forever or should I put it as FOREVERRRR!! It last on me for at least 8 hours, even after having my shower the smell is still noticable but I'll have to be sniffing my wrist like mad to get the smell.

You guys might want to avoid over spraying, as it might get a little bit annoying and cloying for your nose. At least that's what I experienced few days back when I first got the fragrance, I was so excited and spray it on my body with 5 big shots on my wrist, chest and neck. Honestly after doing so, I regret that I took so much of the fragrance and it's seriously killing my nose. All you need is one spray on each wrist and one spray right in the middle of your neck and you're ready to go and impress all your friends.

Though this might be a good fragrance but it's not close to great yet, because there are still much better fragrances out there in the market. But this is one of the best and signature scent that Hugo Boss is having right now, and it's definitely worth purchasing and having it in your wardrobe. Thumbs up for Hugo Boss once again!

Versace The Dreamer

Hey people, today I'm doing a review for another fragrance powerhouse company from Italy which is Versace. I do love Versace's products but of course for now it's almost impossible for me to get any Versace product since I can't afford them. But yeah the only thing that I can afford from Versace is The Dreamer. The Dreamer a truly beautiful fragrance and no words can describe how amazing it actually smells, before buying myself The Dreamer I was really curious about what it might smell like. Will I hate it, will I like it or will It be ending up in a trash bin? I have questioned myself over and over again until I actually bought it blindly based on the positive feedbacks given by other people who actually used The Dreamer.

Frankly speaking, after buying The Dreamer I'm really dawned into sweet dreams for a few days having this wonderful scent by my side. Everyone around me gives positive compliments saying that I smell really good, question me about the fragrance I'm using, I wish my boy friend smell as good as you etc. That's really an experience which is one of the most valuable things in my life.

The Dreamer starts off with a little bit sharp and annoying for some people due to the overpowering Iris smell, but actually to me I kind of like the whole process of The Dreamer on my skin. I don't find the opening to be annoying on my skin, maybe my nose isn't allergic to strong scents I guess? Yeah this is the part where most of the people hated and giving up on The Dreamer just because of the Top Notes of it which is dominant by the sharp strong Iris scent.

Hey!! Stop hating The Dreamer just because the Top Notes isn't pleasing you guys much, when it actually goes on to the process of changing to the Middle Notes. It smells softer and also with some sweetness in it, I find it to be the most romantic scent by far I've ever encountered sniffing before. And after the middle notes, you'll actually get to smell some slight Iris scent and sweet tobacco. Imagine that you open an empty cigarette box and sniff it, that's the scent which you'll get for the Base Notes. But it smells way better than those tobacco found in cigarette box, it's really an experience which is valuable for me I would say.

Using The Dreamer makes me calm and peaceful, I even spray it on my bed before going to sleep sometimes to have some good dreams with sweet memories. Other than the scent, I find the bottle to be really attractive with the nice logo brand of Versace which is the Medusa head. It's really a recommended scent for men out there, having this scent by your side when you're out for a romantic night or even walking by the beach seeing stars with your girlfriend will totally win her heart. :)

The longer The Dreamer stays on your skin, the better it smells. So just give it sometime to develop on you and you'll be suprised that how great it smells. Altough I might wear it anytime, but I recommend to put The Dreamer on for special occasion and romantic date with your special ones. It's not recommended to use it everyday because using it everyday will make the scent a common one for your friends and special ones so if you want to have great result on it, use it for your special days. I find The Dreamer to last really long on my skin, when I spray it on sometimes in the morning around 10a.m it stays on me for at leas 10 hours or more. Sometime I can even smell the scent on the next day, I'm not sure if it's a mind game but the lasting power is certainly not a joke and also the projectivity is doing quite well.

Respect is given to Versace in the fragrance industry after trying out The Dreamer, well done for naming this fragrance The Dreamer as it really is a Dreamer's fragrance. It beats most of the fragrances available in the market by its unique romantic scent, so anyone of you planning to get The Dreamer better act fast before it's discountinued in the market.

Bvlgari's Aqva Fragrances

Wuhooo I'm so in the mood right now, eventhough it's almost midnight I'm still awake to blog about Bvlgari aquatic fragrances which is Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme and Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme. Wait first let me tell you that Bvlgari is a well known fragrance power house company, they actually produces many good and high quality fragrances from herbs. Bvlgari Aqva PH and Bvlgari Aqva Marine PH are the two fragrances by Bvlgari which is one of the best aquatic fragrances available in the market right now, and you won't go wrong with either these two fragrances.

*Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme*

The smell of Bvlgari Aqva is different when we compare it with Aqva Marine, Aqva smells abit more complex with a smell of the ocean when we dive deep into it. It start out with a burst of aquatic marine scent and a little bit of sweetness to it, the dry down of this fragrance could bring you deep down to the ocean. Imagine that you're diving deep down into the ocean without any oxygen tank and sniffing the scent of the fresh water, that's exactly the scent that you'll be getting from Aqva Pour Homme. I would recommend this fragrance to aquatic fragrance collector, this is a master piece and surely not a good choice to miss it. Suitable for anyone I would say, I don't see anything that a person will hate about this fragrance. It's well made and a very likeable fragrance, you can wear it anytime in the day or afternoon.

*Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme*

Let’s talk about Aqva Marine right now, basically Aqva Marine is quite similar to Aqva Pour Homme in certain aspects. But similar of course isn’t the same, Aqva Marine is something more lighter compared to Bvlgari Aqva, it comes with some sweetness which is quite alike watermelon. The dry down for this fragrance is very refreshing with the sweet melon scent, so just imagine that you are actually swimming in an ocean which is not too deep and you’re on top of it and sniffing some very light watermelon juice scent. That’s something what Aqva Marine smells like, just to give you guys a rough idea, it might not be accurate but yeah something like that. Same goes to Aqva Marine, it’s very wearable and likeable which you can wear it anytime and anywhere you like and no one is actually going to hate this smell on you. The lasting power for this is quite long I would say, on my skin it last up to about 6-8 hours depending on situation. So yeah give it a try if you guys are planning to get your very first Aquatic fragrances to put into you collection. It’s worth the money and you will not regret getting this Aquatic dominant fragrance.

Hugo XY & Hugo XX Harmony is Overrated

The reason I posted this perfume up is because, it reminds me of my very first fragrance I bought for myself which is Hugo XY. When I first spray it on my skin, it took me to a whole new level and from that day onwards I'm really obsessed with frangrances.

Hugo XY & XX is the first his and her fragrances from Hugo. I must say that they did a pretty good job for having this two fragrances in their collection. Honestly I don't see that it's one the greatest scent you'll find out there nor the worst scent you'll be smelling out there, but it does give me satisfaction for putting it on.

If you guys actually gone through the description of these two fragrances, Hugo XY & Hugo XX is actually designed for a new generation of men and women who believe that total harmony is no longer the basis for modern relationships and the match between conflict and pure attraction has commerced and that's where tension meets passion.

Here is the sample bottle of Hugo XY & Hugo XX, so sweet isn't it? Make sure that if you're getting Hugo XY/XX for yourself remember to get Hugo XX/XY for your beloved aswell. :)

For the top notes which is the first impression you'll get from Hugo XY is pear tree leaves, as for the middle and base notes you'll be getting a total Iced crushed minty smell coming towards you and that's the part I love the most, It makes me feel refreshing just like being splashed by a pail of Ice water. Lastly for the base notes you'll be getting the smell of Lebanese Cedarwood and that's the part which makes the fragrance a little warm and memorable.

As for Hugo XX the very first impression you'll be getting is the smell of Lychee, Black current and Mandarin. Yummm, isn't that sweet and tasty on a girl? I've actually tested Hugo XX on myself and actually the top notes are quite feminine with some sweet mixture of the three fruits, as it goes down to the middle notes Basmati rice and Jasmine Sambac is all you'll be getting from it. For the basenotes of Hugo XX, it's cedarwood which is again the part that is the softest and most memorable scent you'll get.
